Inappropriate calls to 911 may threaten the lives of those truly in need of emergency services. Call 911 only in the event of a serious emergency.

MEWS SMOKE ALARMS
If your smoke alarm should sound as a result of cooking or shower steam and the Fire Department assistance is not needed, call 911 or 631-324-0124 immediately and tell them no assistance is required.
(If you do not call and the Fire Department responds to a false alarm, the department will fine the Mews and you will be charged the fine from the Fire Dept..)
Next, go immediately to the alarm box under the stair in your building to disarm.
ALL FIRE ALARMS - should be recorded and reported to the office during normal business hours
FALSE ALARMS - can be caused by construction dust, steam or aerosol sprays so please call maintenance to cover smoke detectors prior to any construction or spraying.
Shareholders should have received a sheet outlining the false alarm procedure.
This information should be kept in each unit. if you do not have an alarm shutoff sheet, contact Tina Brew of Morley Property Management available Monday-Friday 8:30-4:30
